Australia is a country and continent located in the southern hemisphere. Here’s some information about Australia:

 

Geography: Australia is the world’s sixth-largest country by total area, covering approximately 7.7 million square kilometers (2.9 million square miles). It is surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Oceans and shares maritime borders with Indonesia, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and several Pacific Island nations.

 

Capital: The capital city of Australia is Canberra, located in the Australian Capital Territory. However, the largest city and economic hub is Sydney, followed by Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

 

History: Indigenous Australians, known as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, have inhabited the continent for over 65,000 years. European exploration and colonization began in the late 18th century, and Australia was officially declared a British colony in 1788. It became a federation and gained independence from Britain in 1901.

 

Government and Politics: Australia is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth II as the monarch. The head of state is the Governor-General, representing the Queen, and the head of government is the Prime Minister. The country has a federal system with six states and two territories.

 

Economy: Australia has one of the largest economies in the world and is known for its abundance of natural resources. Key sectors include mining (especially coal, iron ore, and gold), agriculture (wheat, beef, wool), manufacturing, services (finance, tourism, education), and advanced technology industries.

Landmarks and Attractions: Australia offers a range of attractions, including iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House, Uluru (Ayers Rock), the Great Ocean Road, the Twelve Apostles, the Great Barrier Reef, and the pristine beaches of the Whitsunday Islands. The country also has numerous national parks and protected areas that showcase its natural beauty.

 

Sports and Culture: Australians have a strong sporting culture, with sports such as Australian rules football, cricket, rugby, soccer, and tennis being popular. The country also has a vibrant arts scene, including Indigenous art, contemporary music, theater, and film. Australians are known for their laid-back and friendly attitude.

Visa Requirements:

  • Passport must have at least six months left before the expiry date. ( If you have expired passports showing previous international travel, please either submit these passports or submit copies of the pages containing visas and travel stamps.)
  • Two recent passport size photos.
  • Details of travel arrangement (accommodation) & a planned travel itinerary.
  • Evidence of your incentives to return to your home country. (Examples include; evidence of land ownership, assets, personal funds, evidence of employment/business registration, evidence of immediate family (documentation issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) e.g. Family Registration Certificate).
  • Travel Insurance.
  • Flight Reservation.
  • Clear Computerized National Identity Card Copy A4 Size.
  • Family Registration Certificate.
  • Marriage Registration Certificate.
  • Personal Account Maintenance Certificate with Signed and Stamped from Bank.
  • National Tax Number.

  • Polio Vaccination.

             If you are employed:

  • Salary slips
  • Certified Copy of National Tax Number (NTN) Registration Certificate issued by the Federal Board of Revenue, and
  • Contract or letter from your employer – stating your position, details of your income, length of your contract/employment, amount of leave has been approved and if your employment will continue on your return from Australia.

             If you are self-employed:

  • Provide evidence of company details – for example: information about the nature of the business, business registration license, bank statements, and
  • Certified Copy of National Tax Number (NTN) Registration Certificate issued by the Federal Board of Revenue.

              If you are a student:

  • evidence of your enrolment at your school/college or university.

              If your visit is supported by a relative or friend in Australia:

  • Provide full name and dates of birth of your relatives or friends you intend to visit.
  • Letter stating details of their support i.e. airfares, accommodation spending money, and Evidence of their financial capacity to do so – for example, bank statements, pay slips and employment letters etc.

Applicants under the age of 18 –
Necessary Requirements Any child under the age of 18 years who is traveling
without either one or both of the parents, a statutory declaration from the
non-traveling parent/s must be provided or Form 1229 Consent form to grant an
Australian visa to a child under the age of 18 years from the non-traveling
parent/s or guardian must be provided.

 

Any child under the age of 18 years who is traveling without either one or both of the parents, certified evidence demonstrating parent/s and child relationship must be provided. · birth certificate and

 

 · Certified copies of parents’/guardian’s national identity cards or passports must be provided.

Note: Visa approval is typically determined by the immigration or consular authorities of the country you are applying to. Visa Fee is non-refundable in any case.
